AMC Assistant Fireman Recruitment 2026 – Selection Process

The selection process for AMC Assistant Fireman Recruitment 2026 consists of 2 successive stages — Physical Standards Check followed by Physical Fitness Test (PFT) — after which a merit list is prepared combining PFT marks and Educational Qualification marks.

Candidates who pass the physical standards check will be called for the Physical Fitness Test. Only candidates who pass all four events of the PFT (minimum 10 marks in each event AND minimum 40% aggregate, i.e., 160 marks out of 400) will have their PFT marks combined with educational qualification marks for the merit list. The combined merit list will be submitted to the Staff Selection Committee for further process.

How to Apply for AMC Assistant Fireman Recruitment 2026

Applications must be submitted online only through the AMC Recruitment portal accessible at https://ahmedabadcity.gov.in. No offline/hard copy applications will be accepted. Candidates must visit the Recruitment & Results section and click Apply Online against the relevant vacancy.

After submitting the application form, a payment link will open automatically. Candidates must complete fee payment via Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. An application number will be generated after successful submission and sent to the registered mobile number via SMS.

Candidates are not required to submit original documents at the time of online application; documents will be called for physical verification at a later stage as required by AMC.

Documents to be Submitted at Document Verification Stage (when called):

• Age proof (Birth Certificate / SSC marksheet)
• Educational qualification marksheets and certificates (SSC onwards)
• Category/Caste certificate (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) issued by competent Gujarat Government authority
• Non-Creamy Layer certificate (for SEBC candidates) – valid period: issued between 01/04/2024 and 14/05/2026
• PwBD (Divyang) certificate from Civil Surgeon (if applicable) – minimum 40% disability
• NCC certificate / Fire course certificates / Computer course certificate (if applicable)
• AMC Auxiliary Task Force service certificate from Chief Fire Officer (if applicable)
• Passport size photograph (same as uploaded in online form)
• Online application form receipt
• Marriage registration certificate (for female candidates applying in husband’s name)

Important Instructions for AMC Assistant Fireman Recruitment 2026 Candidates

• Only male candidates are eligible to apply for this post.
• Eligibility, age, qualification, and experience will be calculated as on the last date of application i.e. 14-05-2026.
• No hard copy applications will be accepted – online submission only.
• Application fee is non-refundable; applications without fee (except PwBD) will be rejected.
• Only one application per cadre is permitted; if multiple applications are submitted, only the last confirmed online application will be valid and excess fee paid will not be refunded.
• If marksheet/degree shows Grade or CGPA instead of percentage, the candidate must submit the University’s official conversion chart at the time of document verification.
• Reserved category benefits are available only to original residents of Gujarat; certificates issued by other State Governments will not be accepted.
• SEBC candidates must submit valid Non-Creamy Layer certificate (issued between 01/04/2024 to 14/05/2026) in the prescribed format (Parishisht-4).
• EWS candidates must submit valid EWS certificate (valid for 3 years from date of issue, issued before last date of application) in prescribed format (Parishisht-Ga / Annexure-KH).
• PwBD candidates must submit permanent disability certificate from Civil Surgeon showing minimum 40% disability.
• Candidates must mention a valid mobile number with DND settings OFF in the application form; AMC will not be responsible for non-delivery of messages.

• Candidates must attend the written examination/interview at their own expense.
