Directorate of Civil Aviation, Uttar Pradesh Eligibility Criteria 2026

1. Airworthiness Review Officer:

  • Engineering degree in Aeronautical or Avionics or Mechanical or Electrical stream from any Indian university established by law or equivalent.
  • OR (a) Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education or equivalent body of a State
  • OR Diploma/Certificate in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering awarded by any institute approved by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. (b) Current Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License/Certificate granted by the Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India in HA (Heavy Aircraft) / RA (Rotary Aircraft) / CT (Turbine Engine) or equivalent Modules in respective categories as per CAR-66 in Mechanical or Avionics Stream (ES, IS, RN).
  • Experience: Minimum 05 years experience of CAR-145 Quality/CAMO Management.

2. Computer Programmer:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from any Indian university established by law or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum three years experience in Computer Application in any Government organization or corporation. Preferential Qualification: Experience in Computer Application in the aviation field.

3. Technician (Foreman/Senior Aircraft Mechanic/Junior Aircraft Mechanic/Senior Aircraft Inspector/Junior Aircraft Inspector):

  • Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License covering RA/HA and JE or ES, IS, RN or equivalent Modules in respective categories as per CAR-66 issued by Director General of Civil Aviation, Government of India. Must possess a minimum of two years working experience in aviation sector.
  • OR Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical or Aeronautical or Electronics Engineering of Board of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh or equivalent. Must possess minimum two years working experience in the aviation sector after completion of Diploma. OR Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Education or equivalent body of a State or approved institute. Must possess minimum two years working experience in the aviation sector after completion of Diploma.
  • OR Bachelor in Science with Physics or Mathematics from a University established by Law in India. Must possess minimum three years work experience in the aviation sector.

4. Technical Assistant:

  • (1) Must have passed Intermediate Examination with Science from the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh or equivalent
  • OR Certificate in any Engineering trade from an Industrial Training Institute recognized by the Government.
  • (2) Must possess three years work experience in aviation.

  3. Application, on prescribed proforma (as attached), accompanied by attested copies of relevant certificates and testimonials should be sent latest by 29 April, 2026 to the office of the undersigned (Director, Civil Aviation, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Airport, Lucknow-226009) through Registered/Speed Post. Application received after the above date, will not be entertained.
  4. The candidates serving in a department or bodies of Central/State Government and Flying Club shall produce “No Objection Certificate” issued by employer at the time of interview.
  5. The candidate will bear his own expenses to appear in test/interview.
  6. The character, health and marital status should be in consonance with the rules laid down for Government Service.
  7. The number of vacancy may increase or decrease and a waiting list for future vacancies shall also be prepared.
