Eligibility

Position 2: Project Scientist

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Ph.D (Doctorate) OR Postgraduate degree (M.Tech/M.Sc)
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years relevant experience in thin film electronics

Salary

Common Requirements 

Desirable Qualifications and Expertise

  • Materials Science: Sound knowledge of piezoelectric and ferroelectric materials such as PVDF, PVDF-TrFE (Polyvinylidene Fluoride), PZT (Lead Zirconate Titanate)
  • Device Fabrication: Hands-on experience with fabrication of memory devices and pressure sensor devices
  • Printing Technologies: Hands-on experience with screen printing and ink-jet printing
  • Characterization: Experience with electrical and optical characterization of thin film devices (TFTs, memories, diodes)
  • Testing Equipment: Hands-on experience with C-V, I-V, and P-E characterization tools, semiconductor parameter analyzers, ferroelectric testers
  • Cleanroom Experience: Experience working in class 10000 or better cleanroom facilities
  • Thin Film Deposition: Familiarity with thin film deposition and patterning techniques including PVD, CVD, ALD, coating techniques, lithography, wet and dry etching

  • Conducting research and development in large-area flexible electronics for domestic industry development
  • Development of sensor arrays using piezoelectric polymers
  • Development of memory array technologies
  • Testing and evaluation on flexible substrates
  • System integration towards realization of memory arrays
  • Implementing work procedures and quality standards
  • Preparing presentations and technical reports
  • Collaborating with team members and project partners
  • Contributing to research publications and technical documentation

Duration and Terms of Appointment

  • Nature: Purely temporary and contractual
  • Initial Duration: Two years OR end of project, whichever is earlier
  • Extension: Not guaranteed; depends on project continuation and funding
